The museum of arms is located in a military fort of the sixteenth century. It was built in 1582 by order of Sultan Ahmed El Mansour to monitor and protect the city of Fez against foreign threats. In 1963, the fort became a weapons museum houses the collection of "Dar snah." Previously installed Batha palace, this collection comes mainly from the Makina, arsenal founded by Sultan Moulay Hassan 1 at the end of the nineteenth century
